AWESOME! The Tiki Jinx! I was just trying to explain it to a youngster that was not a pop tv head as myself.thanks for being there.
from a historical point of view, worm got it right. It was painted on Mike Doyle's Jacobs surfboard. I believe the art work was done by his mother. Probably early 60's. If you have the "Photo:Grannis" book. There is a color shot of it in there.
damn someone beat me to the punch...epic doyle board graphic--google "doyle brian lentini" and a interview will come up i did on him years ago

I was stoked about the art on this guy's board. It must have been some kind of herb-induced tribute to the Greg Brady Tiki jinx I guess..
